Revert back to our childhood for the answers

Relationship advice from Dr. Seuss and the like???

With all of the relationship dating help and advice books out there, one can often become overwhelmed with where to go and what to look for when looking for answers on the mysteries of the dating world.  Why not keep it simple?  Can we actually revert back to our childhood for the answers to one of the leading stressors in our lives as adults?  I say we definitely should!

Think about it….“Oh, the places you will go” and my personal favorite “The Missing Piece meets the Big O” by Shel Silverstein gives us so many answers on how to take life by the horns and be the masters of our own destiny.  We just need to connect with that child inside and listen to our desires and let our imaginations take us to where we truly want to see our lives.

Often in our pursuits of love, we look to others to make ourselves feel complete, or to fill a void in our lives.  As we learn in the Missing Piece meets the Big O, we should work on being comfortable in our own skin and look for someone to journey along side of us.  Rolling through life together, it’s important to grow and experience the ‘path of life’ together, but still have your own individuality and room for personal growth and experience.  Communication is also one of the key’s to keeping the relationship very healthy, allowing for an honest and open means of communication.

So what’s the moral of the story?  Keep it simple! Be comfortable with being an individual before branching out to being a couple.

Dedicated to my loving rock, who rolls along side of me every day through the bumpy path of life.
